University of Michigan Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) Chapter

I co-organized the University of Michigan’s Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) chapter for two years, along with Mercy Corredor, Ariana Peruzzi, Katie Wong, and Eduardo Martinez. We organized a range of events, including an “imPIEster syndrome” workshop (with pie!), where graduate students and faculty members shared their experiences of dealing with imposter syndrome and strategies for responding to it.

University of Michigan COMPASS Workshop

I’ve been a mentor as part of the University of Michigan’s COMPASS program. COMPASS is an annual three-day workshop for undergraduates and MA students from underrepresented groups who are interested in applying to philosophy PhD programs.

Michigan High School Ethics Bowl

I’ve served as a coach and judge in the Michigan High School Ethics Bowl. Ethics Bowl is an annual competition which offers high school students extra-curricular opportunities to learn about, debate, and discuss challenging real-life ethical issues.

Graduate Employee’s Organization (GEO)

I’ve served as a Philosophy Department Steward for GEO, the labor union representing Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs) and Graduate Student Staff Assistants (GSSAs) at the University of Michigan.
